Rising Star Motorsports Drivers Show Strength at Stars Finale

Rising Star Motorsports Development drivers were out in full force for the Stars Finale in Toronto, Canada. After switching to Maxter power in the ICC division, Jan Velez-Walter had his strongest showing in Stars competition this season. With strong heat races, Jan was able to qualify second for the Final where he took the early lead. Unfortunately he was passed, but put on a strong showing to finish in second place. This put Jan ninth in the overall National points standings.

In ICA, Eric Morrow led the charge finishing in third. This is Eric’s fourth straight top three finish; quite the achievement for his rookie year in ICA. Points have not been finalized, but it looks as if Eric will finish third in the National standings. Anthony Llopiz had another great weekend with a sixth place aboard his J3 Competition machine. Brandon Bealer was plagued with wrecks, but was able to battle from 27th to 14th in the Final. After coming off his first podium finish in ICA, Mitch Cobb came away with another top 10 finish.

Brandon Adkins may have not had the best weekend, but he sure did have an outstanding season. Brandon won the Spec Racer National championship with wins in five out of the seven events competed in.
