“Digital Marketing for Everyone”
This interactive workshop covers a wide range of digital marketing concepts like email, pay-per-click, SEO, and online forums and review sites, as well as off-line concepts like events, partnerships and references/referrals. The class has two goals.
The first is to give business owners an overview of their digital marketing possibilities. I will help you decide where you can best spend your marketing efforts. The second is to make sure you walk away with two or three excellent ideas you can put into action the next day.
Class is very interactive – students will be grouped at the beginning of class and given a wide variety of exercises and thought experiments to work through. Even if you don’t already have customers for your business, we will focus on gaining one new customer at a time and learning how to duplicate that experience.

“Digital Marketing for Everyone – Writing, Analytics and Optimization”
“Digital Marketing for Everyone“ was designed to answer the question “What should I be doing for my business?”, digital marketing-wise. The second half of the course will now answer the questions “Is it working and how can I make it better?”. The course has two goals:
1) I want you to leave class feeling comfortable sending email campaigns, writing blog posts, communicating in social media channels and understanding if and how these marketing efforts are working.
2) I will introduce you to the principles of analyzing and optimizing email campaigns and web traffic. I do not cover specific web apps in the class. Once you understand the principles, you can use any tool you prefer (I prefer Google Analytics and MailChimp).
